Licenses and rules

Bring a legal license. We will look.

Every hunter on our ground needs a valid Kentucky hunting license and the permits that match the hunt, whether that is deer or turkey. If hunter education applies to you, bring the card.

We do not copy the regulation book onto this site.

Season dates and permit names change. A lodge website is the wrong place to treat them as settled. Read the current requirements yourself, buy what you need before you drive down, and carry the license with you. We check before you walk to a stand.

Blaze orange on the hat, chest, and back is what we expect on any deer hunt with a gun. Blaze orange is required for every deer hunter, bowhunters included, while a modern gun, muzzleloader, or youth firearm deer season is open, and for anyone going along with a hunter. Spring turkey hunters usually wear camouflage. Always check Kentucky Fish & Wildlife for the current rules before you hunt. Your weapon stays pointed at the ground around the lodge, the truck, and other people.
