The lodge

Come in, eat, and sleep.

The lodge sits on private ground near Albany. You hunt Clinton County hardwoods from here. If you already have permission on a place in Wayne County, you can stay and hunt your own ground.

A whole farmhouse-style hunting lodge with a covered porch, vinyl siding, and a green metal roof

The house

A one-story farmhouse with vinyl siding, a brick base, and a porch that faces the woods. It is a place to sleep and eat. It is not a resort.

Two wooden bunk beds with quilts in a simple lodge room, woods outside the window

Bunk rooms

Quilts, a window on the trees, and enough room to lay a bow case on the floor. We keep the groups small so you are not stacked on strangers.

The lodge porch with two rocking chairs and a complete pair of boots by the door

The porch

Two rocking chairs and a place for your boots. Most of the planning happens out here after supper, while the ridge goes quiet.

A home-cooked breakfast of biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs, coffee, and sorghum

Breakfast

Biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs, and coffee, on the table before you walk out. If you want it earlier, say so the night before.

A home-cooked supper of pork chops, green beans, cornbread, mashed potatoes, and sweet tea

Supper

Pork chops, beans, cornbread, potatoes, and tea when you come in. Nothing fancy. It is hot, and there is enough.

A boot dryer holding two complete pairs of rubber boots, with another complete pair on the floor

Boot dryer

The mudroom dryer holds your boots so the next morning is not a wet one. Bring a complete pair you can walk in. We do not rent boots.
